The Rules took place at Tsitsanis Museum (Trikala, Greece), a famous state prison, which was repurposed as a public museum and research centre in 2016. A series of site-specific performances and mixed-media installations were created based on the history, the records and the former prison policies of the institute, inviting the audience to reflect upon the relationship of continuity that exists between the old prison and the museum;  an active engagement producing a system of knowledge around how physical, architectural spaces are inhabited and the embodied experiences of exclusion and confinement they produce. The Rules were co-produced by the Tsitsanis Museum and supported by the Municipality of Trikala and Trikala Ephorate of Antiquties. The exhibition was curated by Marion Emmanuela Maniou.
